| Video#1: 2007 Summer Day Surf Video
This video at right was shot on a nice sunny summer day of 2007 in southern California, USA The swell was 2-3 ft. and most of the surfers were riding longboards. This video features: -Overhead view from the cliffs looking down at beach and surfers in the water. -Longboard woman weaves in and out. -Longboard man crouches and turns. -Male longboarder turns sharply and falls. -Male longboarder on a yellow board goes down the line, and a child on father's shoulder screams as he nears. -View down the beach with two yellow longboards in foreground. One board is a Stewart, the other has its fins up. Various beachgoers, umbrellas. -Closer view of young female surfer with long blond hair, long boardshorts, blue t-shirt, and yellow shortboard. She rides a small wave then hops off the board. -3 Longboarders right launch on a wave. One goes right, the other goes left, the 3rd joins the first left guy. -Older longboarder in blue trunks, light blue t-shirt on a blue longboard goes down the line on small wave, and moves feet forward a little as board hits bottom of wave. -Yellow longboard, young man with long boardshorts, shirtless upper body, rides board down the line. Does a nice balancing act, then smoothly angles board out to sea, and smoothly jumps off. -Longboarder on white board with blue stripes along rocker takes a short ride. -Longboarder quickly turns down the line and does a 'hang-5' then quickly falls off as wave decays. -Another view down the coastal beach with good visibility. Various beachgoers. -6 surfers try to catch a wave. Only one surfer goes right and smoothly rides wave down the line, then jumps off in the whitewater, and bodysurfs into shore. -3 bikini girls walk to the left. -Longboarder narrowly averts some swimmers, then goes down the line, does a "hang 5" -Surfer shifts balance and heads straight in to shore. Jumps off. -3 surfers pop-up, and one goes left and sorta down the line. Jumps off in whitewater. -Longboarder goes down the line, adjust balance and trim, and smoothly exits wave. -Longboarder on yellow board waits for just the right moment to pop up, then goes right. Walks the board, and does a cool 180-degree footwork on board, his back faces the shore, then he bails. -Longboarder rides a foamy left, then hops over wave crest. -Surfer in wetsuit quickly rides board in and out of frame. -A beach rodent ends the video. |
