This video features:
This video combines scenes from both 2008 and 2009 in California, United States. Although the ocean temperature here is cold on these particular days, the opening scene is summery sounding because it has the pleasant chirp of crickets. The sun is setting and the ocean is colored in deep purple and light orange colors. As the fading sun sets, about nine surfers are enjoying the last few minutes of dim daylight. The water is glassy, and a longboarder goes down the line to his right. The scene dissolves to a wider shot showing a beautiful orange and yellow sky that is reflected off the ocean surface below. The ocean itself is mostly purple colored. There are about thirty surfers bobbing in the water, while about five of them are on shore taking their boards back home. Some surfers are talking while they're standing in the water up to their knees. A bush is seen in the foreground. Dissolving to the next shot, we see another day with similar purple and orange tones to the water. As they swim to the lineup, surfers cause the glassy water have concentric ripples that are highlighted by the shadows from the lowering sun. A longboarder rides down the line to his left. As the wave crests, he gets gently buried in foam, and ends his ride. A transition shot is next that shows no ocean, but a beautiful cluster of many palm trees that are almost motionless in the calm wind. The trees are framed against the backdrop of the orange/yellow colors from the sunset reflecting off bands of light clouds. The clouds alternate between orange and light blue from the sky behind. A few seagulls, in silhouette, fly among the trees. We return to an ocean view, where a surfer rides his shortboard to the right on a thigh-high wave, riding regular foot. The closing shot shows a deep blood-red sky above the ocean as the sunlight gets reflected through puffy offshore clouds during the last minutes of twilight. The video fades out.
