This video was taken in California over the years 2008 through 2012 (& briefly in Hawaii). It shows a variety of female surfers during all four seasons of the year.
The women ride a variety of surfcraft including longboards, shortboards, and SUP's. One shortboard is pink. There is carving, walking the board, and riding down the line. One woman does the 'Huntington Hop' to try to keep her shortboard in front of the advancing wave. For a brief moment, a rider does a 'hang-5' on her surfboard's nose.
The weather ranged from sunny to overcast skies. Ocean swell is both small and medium-sized. From beginner to intermediate to advanced-level surfing is seen. The surfers wear a variety of outfits from full wetsuits, springsuits, and shorts with T's. One wetsuit is a gray and black Roxy. A woman wears a black bikini, while others wear black or pink bottoms. Some of the women wear neoprene booties during the winter months or go barefoot during the winter months. A few riders have their hair in a bun, others have tied back hair, while many just leave their long hair loose.
The middle of the video shows 12 still images in a quick slideshow, then returns back to video action.
The video imagery is accompanied by 4 different songs of a variety of styles.
This all ends with a view of tiled mosaic artwork of a blond mermaid underwater surrounded by seahorses and seaweed. The city-owned mosaic artwork was seen near a beach parking lot.
