Video#70: La Jolla Cove Giant Surf
12-05-2007

California, U.S.A.
December 12, 2007

They nicknamed it "Big Wednesday." The historic big Pacific Ocean swell that hit California's coast on December 5th, 2007. From the high vantage point of La Jolla Cove, we see the giant waves building and crashing on the ocean bottom near the shore, then turn into tons of foamy water. A jet ski was on hand to rescue any wayward surfers. There is a sub-set of surfers called 'big-wave surfers' - and that group came out in force on this epic day.
